Golubac Fortress shines again

After almost five years of reconstruction, the medieval Golubac Fortress was officially opened on March 29th. This remarkable tourist area is one of the crown jewels of the cultural heritage of Serbia. The opening ceremony was attended by Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, European Commissioner Johneres Han and other distinguished officials. For the visitors, a special program  with an emphasis on medieval knight culture and old crafts was held. One of the attractions that has been restored is the Palace of the despot Stefan Lazarevic with an unforgettable panoramic view of the Danube and the area where the crucial historical battles took place.
