The Russian Music Festival Kustendorf Klasik, a joint project of Emir Kusturica and Gazprom Neft  Company starts on July 10th at Mećavnik and lasts until July 12th. “All film and music competitions have a deeper sense: they create love for art, without which a person simply can not exist,” Emir Kusturica, the art director of the Festival, told to the media.

Young artists from music schools and academies from Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Russia, Belarus, Germany and China compete at Kustendorf  Classic Festival. The program also includes top classical music concerts: at the opening ceremony, famous Russian violist Yuri Bashmet performs. On the second day, the concert of pianist Alexander Madzar and baritone Vasili Gerelov is announced,

The festival is to be closed by violoncellist Narek Haknazarjan from Armenia, violinist Hatchatur Almazjan and baritone Efim Zavaljni, as well as “Kragujevac Singing Society” accompanied by the South Sakhalin Symphony Orchestra.
